The Residence Nil Rate Band (RNRB) is a provision that allows individuals to pass on a certain amount of their estate to their direct descendants without incurring inheritance tax. Introduced in April 2017, the RNRB is an additional allowance on top of the standard Nil Rate Band, which is the threshold for inheritance tax.
